"Batteries, wet, filled with acid" must be handled and packaged properly and safely.
Employees must be trained according to vendor and goverment regulations.

Key Points
1) Handle with proper personal safety eguipment. Avoid skin contact. Batteries are very heavy. Batteries are corrosive and contain electrical voltage.
2) Never short batteries or allow posts to touch.
3) Bag any damaged batteries in a 6mil bag and zip tie.
4) Palletize batteries properly.

Safety
Wear gloves whenever working with batteries.
Never touch a metal tool across the battery terminal or from the positive post to any other metal.
Extinguish all smoking materials and open flames.
Be cautious about creating any electrical sparks around the battery.
